For as long as I can remember, I have listened to stories. Whether it was the friend on the playground, or the random stranger at the grocery store. I learned at a young age that everyone has life stories and for some reason I was the listening ear.
I often wondered why others shared so freely with me. Honestly, there were times I wanted to hide because I didn’t know what to say or how to handle all of the emotions.
Two years ago, I embarked on a personal journey to work through frequent episodes of anxiety and depression. The norm for me was to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. A huge shift took place as I worked diligently to understand my own thoughts and feelings. I now experience a balance of emotions and have the tools to navigate all of the negative emotions.
I’ve gone from hiding to embracing! I’ve learned that the worst thing that can happen is a feeling— so I’m all in!
I am a certified Life & Weight Loss Coach from the Life Coach School and I believe it is a special privilege to coach. Clients often share topics that are very vulnerable and it’s an honor for me to be at their side as they see and learn their story.
Ok, time for the fun stuff!
I was born & raised Idaho. I grew up with amazing parents, one brother, two sisters, and a dog (Sadie). We traveled, jet skied, snow skied, and knew how to have lots of fun together.
I married the most thoughtful person on the planet—really. Earned a bachelors degree in Home & Family Life Sciences from Brigham Young University while I was pregnant with our first child. Took my final and then gave birth to our sweet daughter the next day. I loved every minute—well, except some of the sewing assignments!
I had a surgery, we moved, welcomed a new baby to the family and then repeated this pattern about 3 times. Life was a roller coaster, but we held on tight and had some interesting moments for sure!
We now have 5 amazing kids & a dog (Alaska). Our family loves to be outside, throw any sort of ball (even in the house, often at my disapproval), watch movies, and play games.
I love to be warm and thankfully had the opportunity to live in southern Utah for a short time but recently our family moved to northern Utah. Guess I will wear lots of layers to stay warm! My happy places are staring at the moon or the ocean. I enjoy running, good books, yummy food, traveling, and as you know, stories. I’d love to hear your story too!
